More Info

I am currently 354 pounds. my goal weight is 160, but i will probably top off around 175. I will push for the 160 though!!! My height is 5'4".

Studies and experience has shown the it will take me roughly 12-15 months to get to my goal of 160. If i do get to my goal of 160, i will have lost 194 pounds. Although it seems unreal, it is possible.

In the first month after the surgery i could lost up to 35 pounds. The most rapid weight loss happens within the first 12 months.

Tips for Surgery

Since i am over 350 pounds (just over). I need to lose a little weight before surgery. There is concern with degree of difficulty and complications.

I will need to get off caffeine. Which i have started to do. I will have to give up coffee and all soda (pop). Which leads to the next tip.

I need to give up everything that is carbonated! The carbonation creates air in the stomach which could enlarge the new stomach pouch. This would defeat the purpose of the surgery.

No more chewing gum. If accidentally swallowed, it could get caught. Very difficult to throw up and complications could occur.

CHEW CHEW CHEW. Everything that i put in my mouth needs to be chewed to the point of baby food so that the stomach will be able to handle it.

My main focus after surgery will be fluids and Protein.
