Protein Sources
Since every meal must contain 50% protein, the following list will be the most utilizied.
Acceptable Protein sources:
- Tender pork or ham
- Skinless poultry
- Ground turkey, chicken
- Fish/seafood -unbreaded
- Egg Whites
- Low Fat cheeses (string cheese, mozzarella, cottage cheese, farmers cheese)
- Creamy peanut butter (1-2 teaspoons)
- Plain yogurt (1/4 cup)
The one form of protein that i will need to avoid is all forms of Beef (hamburger, steaks, etc...)

Red meat in particular has stings of fat that can get caught up in the small opening leading to the intestines. Also red meat is hard to chew into small pieces so the digestion process could be painful. I will miss red meat but maybe after a year i will be able to tolerate some sort of soft red meat, such as lunch meat.
