14 weeks post op!

Things are going well. I am done with the last plateau! I currently have dropped into the 250's. This is exciting because It has been nearly 6 years since I weighed that little. I am feeling great. The 2X shirts are starting to get baggy. I wonder how long it will take before I fit into a 1X shirt.

I did start to notice that there is hanging skin underneath my arms. I am starting a weight program to see if it will tighten up the loose skin. I am not worried though.

Everything is going very well. I have nothing to complain about. I meet with the doctor again on Septemeber 7th! I will update in a week. Unless something else needs to be addressed. Have a GREAT and safe weekend!!

Vitamin Update

I wanted to update everyone on how my vitamin intake is going. I learned a small little lesson this past saturday. DO NOT take all you vitamins at once or one right after another. I had the dry heaves for about 20 minutes. So now in the morning i wait a half hour in-between taking my vitamins.

Since I have started waiting the half hour, it has been going really well. It doesn't hurt and they stay down. I was afraid at first but all is well.

I take the Multi vitamin first, then a half hour later I take the B100, then a half hour later I take my Citrical. I also take the Citrical at night.

12 weeks post op/3 month check up

Hey everyone!! I hope everyone is doing well. It has now been 12 weeks since surgery. Like I said in the last few posts, I can't believe how fast these 12 weeks went. I also can't believe how great I feel. I still can say that I am certainly glad that I had this surgery.

Yesterday I had my 3 month follow up with Dr Shapiro. It went very well. I had to fill out a questionnaire on my progress so far. I filled out a small list about what foods I am eating and what times I am having my meals. I also listed the liquids that I have been drinking. He was concerned because I was not getting any Carbs in with my breakfast. He gave me some suggestions to add some carbs with my breakfast. I also checked all the "much better" categories under the "how has my life and health improved" section. The reason why I checked "much better" with all those is because it is true. Everything that I do routinely every day is much better. I go and see the doctor again in a month, September 7th.

My weight loss is down to 90 pounds. It's hard to believe in 12 short weeks I have lost more weight than all the weight loss combined throughout my life.

On the 19th I will be taking my three month post op pictures. Watch out for those. I am certain that you will definitely see a change from even my two month pictures.

One more thing. Dr Shapiro took me off the chewable vitamins and the B-1 Vitamin. I am now able to swallow pills whole. I am taking the Multi-vitamin for men, Citrical +D, and B100 complex vitamin. I did swallow them all whole this morning and they went down quite well. I had no problems. I did space them out, I did not take them all at once. I did feel the first whole pill go down and I was really worried but that feeling quickly went away. So far so good.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend. I will update you all on how the medications go.

11 weeks post op-a day late

With all this extra energy that I have, I hardly sit at my computer anymore. I never knew that i could enjoy life this much. It has been a wonderful 11 weeks. I learn new things about myself everyday and also as i lose weight.

Good news after being at a 280 plateau, the plateau has finally ended. I am currently at 278. I can't exactly remember how long it has been since I was 278 pounds. I know that it has been at least 4 years since I weighed that.

Other than having exceptional energy and sleeping good at night there really isn't anything new. I did, however, notice that during the plateau, my body was changing shape. My stomach shrunk a little more and clothes fit much better now. There is quite a bit of room in the 2x shirts already. So plateau's are not all that bad if you think about it.

This coming thursday, I will be visiting the doctor for my 3 month check up. My actual 3 month anniversary isn't until the 19th but I think they are going by weeks not months. Be patient for my three month photos. I will be doing a comparion again and i will also post the pictures in a three month time line. I will post before surgery pictures through my 3 month photos.

All is well at 11 weeks. I will update after my appointment on Thursday and also this friday at my 12 week post op.

Have a great weekend!!!
